He was predeceased by: his parent James Collins; and his brother Charles Collins. He is survived by: his parent Reba Collins; his children, Christie Hatmaker (Jess) of Knoxville and John Daniel Collins II; his wife Sara Smith; his daughter Kacey Grace Hackworth; his siblings, Bill Collins of Mascot, Eddie Collins, Sue Wilbur of Bloomington, Mary Evans of Knoxville and Donna Brashears; and his grandchildren, McKinley (Skinley), Justice Brown (Juddis), Hadley Grace Hackworth, Hayden Tyler Hackworth and Hazel.
