He was predeceased by: his wife Marcella Campbell Massengill; his parents, Jesse Massengill and Rosa Massengill; and his siblings, Jimmy Ray, Vernon, Archie Massengill, Shirley Graham, Faye Newman and Phyllis Kagley.
He is survived by: his children, Darryl (Monie Massengill), Sandra (Greg Sims) and Eddie (Brandy Massengill); his grandchildren, DJ Massengill (Ashley), Cheyenne Massengill, Channing Benge (Andy), Trent, Jesse and Tucker Massengill; his great grandchild Dale Norris Massengill; his sister Billie Lane; his nieces and nephews, Russell and Teresa Worley; and his friends, Tim, Walta Patt, Billy Ray and Judy Clabough.
