She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Larkin and Staley D. Swaffer; her son Jessie William Holder; and her siblings, Billy, Bobby, Joe Swaffer, Betty Rogers and Joyce Beasley.

She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Dale Merryman; her daughters, Tammy Gregory (Sam), Penny Benson-Spring (Donald) and Jennifer Cartwright (Chris); her grandchildren, Chris (Roy Gregory), Landon (Charlotte Benson), Rudy Rivera Jr., Ezekiel (Valerie Rivera), Amber Street and Anthony Spears; and her great grandchildren, Kalie Spears, Jaxon Street, Aubrey, Brantley Gregory, Isla, Xavier, Oliver Rivera and Milo Marquez.
