She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Ellis and Helen Dickerson Ellis; her husband L. B. "Festus" Owensby Jr.; her daughter Mary Ann Bowen; her sister Sue Robertson; and her grandchildren, Daniel Likens and Maggie May Dickens.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Knight (Mindy) and Janet Sevier (Darrell); her grandchildren, Misty Hale (Stacey), Tiffany Key (Kenny), Candy Dickens, Jason Bowen (Harvest), Ashley Bowen (Angela), Joshua Hoffman (Stephanie) and Chad Hoffman (Mallory); her niece Angela Bailey; and her cousin Effie Watkins. She is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
