He was predeceased by: his son John Ray (Beasley); his stepson Grady Carter; and his brother Dean Beasley of Lafayette. He is survived by: his son Jerry Lee Beasley; his close friend Melba June Wix Carter; his children, James Lynn Beasley II (Shorty), Mary Lynn Beasley Claridy of Hartsville and Deborah Beasley Woodall (Steve) of Gallatin; his sisters, Ruthie Beasley East of Lafayette, Mary Beasley, Carolyn Beasley Bringhurst (Eugene) and Gail Beasley Woodard; and also Eld.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Sanderson Funeral Homes, Inc. (901 Main St N, Carthage, TN 37030-1002). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
