He was predeceased by: his parents, Park Chaffee and Margaret Chaffee; his sons, Larry and Jerry Chaffee; his stepson Terry Lee Roddy; and his siblings, Margaret, Judd, Albert, Melvin, Lawrence, Clifford and George.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Chaffee; his children, Gary Chaffee (Jan), Jeanine McCullough-McMinnville and Linda Evens (Dean); his stepsons, Daniel Roddy-Byrdstown and Cliff Roddy (Gail); and his grandchildren, Vaughn, Bryan, Kelly, Kimberly Weisner, Rick Cook, Robin Cook-Rudicel, Amanda Farmer, Chris Chaffee, Amy Rutzen, Clint Chaffee, Brett, Brooke, Hayley and Casey Roddy. He is also survived by 29 Great Grandchildren and Several Great Great Grandchildren.
