He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank R. Hire Sr. and Cassie Walton Hire; and his brother Frank Robert Hire Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Hire; his children, Joshua Hire (Cory), Tera Hix-Hartsville (Chris) and Tierra Hire (Kason); his grandchildren, Lane and Adalyn; his great grandchild Grayson; and his siblings, Steve Wilmore-Riddleton (Susan) and Anita Pirtle.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
