He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Johnny Shelton and Trudy Arrington Shelton; and his siblings, Reva Sparks and Mark Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Vanessa Arrington Jones Shelton; his daughters, Gerri S. Shelton (Chris Hendrix) and Christy Holmes (David); his stepsons, David Wendell Jones Jr. and Charles Cody Dean Jones; his grandchildren, Autumn Rose Burns, Oliver Shelton Holmes, Ava Leigh Holmes, Mason Jones and Anderson Jones; his siblings, Bertha Johnston (Joe), Angie Self (Rocky), Clinton Shelton (Irene), Roger Shelton and Gary Shelton (Patsy); and his brother-in-law Benny Sparks. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sand Hill Church of God in Jesus Name (1000 Old 15th Rd, Del Rio, TN 37727). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
