He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Elwood May and Sarah Grace Leffel; his sister Donna Kay Honeycutt; his niece Heather Honeycutt; and his brothers, Ronald May and David May.

He is survived by : his wife Cindy May; his son Chris May (Johannah); his grandsons, Trey and Noah; his daughter Amy McCurry (Jason McCurry); his grandson Jacob McCurry; his daughter Tammy Wheet; his grandchildren, Eric Lambert, Jordan Lambert and Sidney Lambert (Emma); his brother Donald May; his son Donald Lee (Pam); his grandchildren, Raylen and Susan; his sister-in-law Susan May; his nieces and nephews, Ronnie, Travis, Chastity, Andrea, Jody, Sarah, Tyler and Rachel; and his close friends, Marty, Wayne Stanifer and Bernie Bisceglia.
