He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Roark and Etta Martin Roark; his wife Pamela Roark; his son Walt Hopper; and his stepson Robbie Alexander.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Roark (Nikki) of Wilmington, NC and Kristin "Kris" Ellis (Freddie) of Harrogate, TN; his stepchildren, Jamie Alexander-Dillion and Jodie Alexander; his grandchildren, Taylar Parks, Bryson Parks, Tucker Parks, Adaline Parks, Tiffany Estes, Tanner Brim, Colton Ellis and Tucker Hill; his great grandchild Andrew Estes; his siblings, Arthur Roark, Glenda Davenport, Angela Jordan (Eddie), Connie Downey (Don), Mike Roark (Debbie) and Scott Roark; and his nephew Michael Harold Roark. He is also survived by his family and his many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Elks National Foundation, The American Legion, Middlesboro, KY in care of Jim Davis, or by planting a memorial tree in honor of Gene's granddaughter, Taylar Parks.
