He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Skaggs; his son Tim Leon Skaggs; his parents, Elmer Skaggs and Hazel Skaggs; his grandparents, Charlie, Lizzie Burke, Charles and Lily Skaggs; and his brother James "Pat" Skaggs.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Mary Beth Skaggs; his sister Billie Kaye Southerland (RD); his daughter-in-law Debbie Skaggs; and his sister-in-law Sherry Skaggs.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Coffey's Funeral Home (150 Beech St, Harrogate, TN 37752). A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Greers Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
