He is survived by: his wife Pat Welch; his children, Steve Welch, II, Tami Tatum, Leann Barnes (Bobby) and Sherri Welch; his sister Norma Sue; his grandchildren, Curtis Ellison (Meagan), Clay Ellison (Kayla), Lauren Jablonski, Logan Barnes (Sarah), Briley Welch, Morgan Welch and Scarlett LeMieux; and his great grandchildren, Wesley Ellison, Olivia Jablonski, Evertt and Judith Barnes.
