He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Allene Holder Sticher; his wife Linda Faye; his children, Dr. Megan A. Sticher (Dempsey), James R. Sticher, John Boyd and Brandon Boyd; his grandchildren, Trenton Sticher, Arden Dempsey and Gabriel Boyd; and his sisters, Kitty Bentley and Celesta Stapp. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
