He was predeceased by: his father Tommy Godwin; his brother Mike Godwin; and his daughter Courtney Godwin. He is survived by: his mother Ozadell Godwin of Chattanooga; his wife Debbie Godwin; his daughter Heather Davis of Virginia; his sisters, Pam McGill of Chattanooga, Andrea Willie of Chattanooga and Alanna Bettis of Chattanooga; and his granddaughter Kristen Handy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Lakewood Memory Gardens East (4621 Shallowford Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37411).
