It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Pruitt Orr of Harrison, Tennessee, who passed away on September 28, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband J. Orr, Jr.; her parents, W. R. Pruitt and Lizzie Pruitt; her siblings, Lela Orr, Hazel Hogan, Mazie McDaniel, Louise Morgan, Tuck Pruitt and John Henry Pruitt; her grandson Thomas Steffner II; and her great grandchild Adam Taylor.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara Schaerer (John), Sue Steffner (Tom) of Chattanooga, Elaine Tankersley Crosslin (Don) of Ocala, Florida. and Edward Orr (Leslie) of Athens; her grandchildren, D. D. Steffner, Tara Steffner, Troy Orr (Robin), Mark Orr, Starr Smith (Nathan), Ringgold, Suzanne Stehr (Kirk), Kristi Tankersley and Jason Tankersley (Allison); and her sisters-in-law, Effie "Jean" Pruitt and Doris Orr of Dallas, TX.
