She was predeceased by: her grandparents, John Straussberger, Sr., J. L. Scott and Mary Scott; and her aunt Sandra Crowell. She is survived by: her parents, Cindy Howard (Mark) and John Scott (Debbie); her brothers, Kurt Scott and Brett Scott; her stepbrothers, Adam Howard (Anna), John Howard (Tiffany), Chad Howard (Ashley), Ben Willis and Jamie Willis; her grandmother Betty Straussberger; her aunt Cheri Straussberger; her uncles, John Straussberger, Jr. (Emily), Jeff Straussberger (Jean) and Bart Scott (Myra); her nieces, Katie Scott and Claire Scott; and her nephew Taylor Willis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Orange Grove Center at http://www.orangegrovecenter.com A private graveside service will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Chattanooga Memorial Park in Red Bank, TN.

“Hello, this is Becky Hardin, I was Carrie's physical therapist at Rivermont elementary. Carrie was such a unique, beautiful young girl. She always made me laugh with her crazy comments. She was moving through a 5 foot tunnel in the PT room one day when she asked "What is this?" I said "It's a tunnel, Carrie, and you're going through it." As we worked to move arms, legs and body through, she looked ahead and exclaimed "I see the light!" Yes, you do, Carrie! You are loved and will be missed.”
