She was predeceased by: her husband Waller Lynn Sands; her parents, Joe Prewitt and Ethel Faulkner Prewitt; her son Sanford Sands; and her siblings, Dan Prewitt, Jo Ann Jones and Juanita Hardin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Catherine Sands of Harriman and Rebecca Ells (Gary) of Harriman; her daughter-in-law Debbie Sands of Lafollette; her grandchildren, Brooke Cox (Brian) and Allie Layton (Jacob); her great grandchildren, Hannah Sands, Gracie, Carlie White, Avery Cox and Mileena Layton; her brother Tom Prewitt (Jan) of Lexington, KY.; and her sister-in-law Pinky Prewitt of Jamestown, NY.. She is also survived by Many other nieces, nephews, special friends.
