She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Rabbit" Barry and Mary Ruth Barry; and her niece Izzi Leach. She is survived by: her husband Richard Swafford; her daughter Aleigha; her stepdaughters, Taylor and Saddie; her grandchildren, Adeline and Walker; her nieces, Ashley Pogue and Britni Barry; her nephew Roman Pogue; her aunt Becky; and also Billy Barry.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Emory Heights Missionary Baptist Church (326 Emory Heights Rd, Harriman, TN 37748-5225). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Emory Heights Baptist Church (326 Emory Heights Rd, Harriman, TN 37748-5225). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the Emory Heights Cemetery.
