She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent Claude (Bessie Jackson Oakes); her husband Grant Vineyard; her daughter Vickie Turpin; her brother Claude Oakes Jr.; her daughter-in-law Debbie Turpin; her son James Turpin; her sister Mozelle Braden; and her grandchildren, Christopher Turpin and Eddie Red.
