He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Garner and Minnie Garner; his son Fred Garner; and his siblings, Billy Garner and Evelyn Tinker.
He is survived by: his wife Robinette Garner of Harriman; his children, Robin Clem (Mark) of Rockwood and Jim Garner (Brenda) of Franklin, NC; his grandchildren, Kyle Garner, Paul Garner (Amanda), Chase Clem (Ashley) and Riley Clem (Lexi); his great grandchildren, Laney Garner, Evie Garner, Hudson Garner, Monroe Clem and Maevery Clem; and his brother Charles Garner.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roane Memorial Gardens (1400 N Gateway Ave, Rockwood, TN 37854).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church 601 Clinton Street Harriman, TN. 37748.
