She was predeceased by: her daughter Robin L. Hicks; the father of her children Verdel Smith; and her son Brian V. Smith. She is survived by: her husband Verdel; her children, Martin Smith (Kerry) and Melody L. Smith; and her siblings, Shirleen Bryson (Denver), Lenda Clark (Larry) and Leo Reeves. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
