He was predeceased by: his wife Faye "Chicken" Taylor Brooks; his son Brian Brooks; his parents, Thomas Floyd Brooks and Birdie Dowell Brooks; and his siblings, Grace Smith, Louise Parham, Lyda Mae Parham, Dale Brooks and Ralph Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Turpin (Joe) of Harriman, TN. and Jeff Brooks (Debra) of Harriman, TN.; his grandchildren, Vanessa Brooks and Carl Brooks; his great grandchildren, Adallynn Brooks and C. J. Brooks; and his brother James Brooks of Rockwood, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
