She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Shesler and Erma Shesler (Macbeth); her husband Lawrence Strickling; her parents-in-law, Bernard and Pauline Strickling (Semler); her sister Dianne Swinler; and her brother-in-law Robert Ziegler.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Brazil and Poland; her children, Cynthia Cortesio of Rockwood, TN and Allen Strickling (Melissa Thune) of Parker, CO; her grandchildren, Christa Cortesio of Denison, IA and Michael Cortesio, Jr. (Chanel) of Cedar Rapids, IA; her sister Erma Rayle (Robert) of Taylors, SC; and her siblings-in-law, George Swinler of Williamstown, WV, Patsy Ziegler of Rootstown, OH and Linda Speck (Herman) of Strongsville, OH. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Memorials have been established to Bethel Presbyterian Church, Kingston, TN & Roane State Community College Foundation, Harriman, TN.
