He is survived by: his wife Pat Simerly; his children, Billie Allen (Mark) and William Eddie Simerly; his grandsons, Manuel Simerly (Brittany) and Isaac Simerly; his great grandchild Owen Simerly; his siblings, Shelby Hughes, Harland Simerly, Gary Simerly (Jeanne), Brooks Simerly (Sandy) and Nick Simerly (Betsy); his pet Wam; his nephew J. B. Simerly; and his close friends, Kevin, Becky Lester, Dicky and Cindy Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
