It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Sue Brumitt Coleman of Hampton, Tennessee, born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away on March 14, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Opie Brumitt and Florence Brumitt (Wilson); her husband Carl Coleman; her son Hubert Coleman; and her siblings, Eula Dean Campbell and Harold Brumitt.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Brumitt of Johnson City, Shelia Burns (Robert) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Brenda Oliver of Elizabethton, Christine Largent (Jeff) of Hampton, TN and James Coleman (Deedra) of Georgia; her grandchildren, Anthony Oliver of Johnson City, Kevin Burns of Mt. Juliet, TN and Brookie Burns of Mt. Juliet, TN; and her sisters, Hazel Smith of Johnson City and Joyce Williams (Joe) of Elizabethton.
