She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nave and Maggie Ellen Nave; her husband Carmon Whisnant; her son Terry Allen Whisnant; and her brothers, W. J. Nave and Dennis Nave.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carmen Dianne Nelson of Johnson City, Ellen Charlene Bateman of Hampton and Tammy Lynn Collins (Kevin) of Elizabethton; her sisters, Betty Casida of Elizabethton and Carol Davis of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Todd Nelson (Julie), Travis Nelson, Shane Bateman, Amber Hall (Jamie) and Adam Collins (Emily); her great grandchild George Carmon Nelson; and also, Linda Jenkins, Emily Hanna and Jerry.
