He was predeceased by: his father McKinley Miller; his children, Marjorie Lee Greene Miller and Guan Glenn Miller; and his siblings, Paul Miller and Maude Miller Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Glover Miller; his daughter Gwendolyn Miller Cole (William); his grandchildren, Ian Miller, Derek Miller, Andrew Cole and Amber Cole Cook (Justin Cook); his great grandchildren, Keely Miller, Anna Cook and Tucker Cole; his sister Mary Gray; his stepson David Dugger; and his niece Lois Estep. He is also survived by her children, their spouses and grandchildren.
