Ed Whitehead Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ed Whitehead (Hampton, Tennessee), who passed away on April 25, 2021 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ed Whitehead to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Whitehead and Lucy Morton Whitehead; and his siblings, Narvel, Louis Whitehead, Crystal Johnson and Hazel Malone.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Simerly Whitehead; his daughter Deborah; his son-in-law David Shankle of Johnson City; his grandsons, David E. Shankle (Victoria) and Daniel Shankle (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, David R., Emma and Edmund.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the restoration of the original Log Church at Sinking Creek Baptist Church; send to the church with attention to Kristia Brown.
