She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Whitehead and Bessie Whitehead; her husband Robert Jones Jr.; and her sister Ellen Stout (Herman) of Hampton. She is survived by: her children, Billy Pate (Diana), Patsy Whitehead (Jessie) of Hampton and Clif Jones (Wanda) of Elizabethton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
