It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo Glover of Hampton, Tennessee, born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away on August 13, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James S. Simmons, Sr. and Winnie Hartley Simmons; and her husband James "Red" Glover. She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Cole (Ken) of Elizabethton and Tammy Smith (Wayne) of Hampton; her grandson Chad Lunceford (Michael Kenner) of Roan Mountain; her brother Wayne Simmons (Linda) of Cleveland, TN; and her half-sister Charlotte Blevins of Elizabethton.
