He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Frances Cooper and Eula Elizabeth Martin; and his brother Gary Frances Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Hopson Cooper; his children, Cathy Cooper-Brown (Johnny), Melissa Irwin and Richard A. Cooper "Richie"; his grandchildren, Dennis Bunch (Emily), Elizabeth-Dani Decker (Chris), Lucas Miller, Chelsie Cooper, Matthew Irwin and Ashley Irwin (Johnson); and his great grandchildren, Miss Lola, Sir Henry Decker and Adam Johnson Jr. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
