He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Carla Roe (Paul) of Collierville, TN, Sterling Rankin (Cathy) of Jackson, Sam Rankin (Lani) of Springfield, TN. and James Smith of Bowling Green, KY.; and his sister LaRue Wright of Union City, TN.. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren.
