He was predeceased by: his son Wayne Cox; his parents, Sammy Cox and Mary Cox; and his brother Everett Cox. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Cox; his daughter Cheryl Stanifer (Marty); his grandsons, Brian Stanifer and Mark Stanifer; and his nephew Sammie Cox (Wanda).
