He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Lambert and Anna Lee Weaver Lambert; his brother Joseph Ray Lambert; and his parents-in-law, Leon Strange and Reva Franklin Strange.

He is survived by: his wife Wanda Lee Strange Lambert; his children, Kimberly Webb (Tim) of Knoxville, David Lambert, Jr. (Sybil) of Knoxville and Lisa Jones (Derek) of Knoxville; his grandchildren, Brittany Cassady (Ben), Ashley Lambert, BriAnna Smith (Sean), Aaron Jones, Kelsey Lambert, Kenzie Phillips, Noah Jones and Drew Phillips; his great grandchildren, Gabe, Maddie, Rhett, Sawyer, Clara, Cora, Emi and Amelia; and his siblings, Walter Lambert, Inez Elmore (Eddie), Kay Clarkson, Wayne Lambert (Susan), Dwayne Lambert (Janie), Steve Lambert, Mary McDonald, Chris Strange (Cindy) and Liz White. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
