He is survived by: his parent Lee Hammers Sr.; his wife Joyce Ann Anderson Hammers; his children, Janice Hammers and Joel Hammers Jr.; his sisters, Patsy Keener (Jimmy), Brenda Yarworth and Odean Medhurst; and his grandchildren, Kendra Meeks, Steven Hammers, Alexis King, Ashton Hammers and Hannah Hammers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
