He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene Smith (Gunter); and his mother Lillie Prater (Barnette). He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Dale Smith (Barbara) and Diana Tobe (Roger); his grandchildren, Noel Smith (Leanna), Nathan Smith, Amanda Smith Heflin (Shannon), Nick Tobe (Gulhan) and Tony Tobe (Kristina); and his great grandchildren, Weston Smith, Kori Rose Smith, Olivia Grace Heflin, Carter Bryce Heflin, Abigail Fraley, Ashton Tobe, Kye Tobe, Logan Jasper and Hayden Jasper (Ruby Prater).
In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Jude's and they can be left at Jennings Funeral Homes.
