He is survived by: his wife Gloria Southerland; his son Perry Southerland (Paula); his siblings, Brenda Tweed (Joe), Larry Southerland (Tennia) and Charles Southerland (Teresa); and his aunts, Cora Hoard and Beulah Dodson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
