She was predeceased by: her husband Elijah Newton, Jr.; her parents, Bill Edwards and Trixie Edwards; and her son Roger Lynn Newton. She is survived by: her children, Jim (Leng Newton), John (Debbie Newton), Don (Beulah Newton), Tim (Lisa Newton), Chris Newton, Kathy (Paul Hampton), Terri (Barney Dunn) and Heather (Tina Newton); her brother Carl; her sister-in-law Lynda Edwards; and her close friend Joe Light. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
