He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo C. Smith and Vesta Conger Smith; and his siblings, Richard Smith, Josephine Smith and Bette Helgevold.
He is survived by: his wife Emily; his close friend Tami Gayikian; and also, Ruby Jean Nieminen, Barbara, Leonard Smith, Bonnie, John Misiak, Doug, Carolyn Helgevold, Bobbie, Carolyn Wallin, Johnnie, Mary Wallin, Rickey, Cindy Wallin and Gib Tweed. He is also survived by many great nieces, nephews.
