He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Rector Shipley; his sons, Kim (Tena Shipley) and Todd (Carla Shipley); his grandchildren, Corey, Ashley Shipley, Courtney, Matt Rice, Alexis, Nick Zockoll, Morgan, Joe Snipes, Madison and Justin Powers; his stepson David Rector; his stepgrandchildren, Caitlyn Rector, Brandon Farris and Brandy Mathes; his great grandchildren, Jackson Shipley, Rylee Shipley, Noah Zockoll, Isabella Zockoll, John Zockoll, Josie Snipes, Jenna Snipes and Juliana Snipes; his sisters-in-law, Imogene Shipley and Janice Shipley; and also Delores Farris. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
