She was predeceased by: her husband Dickie Richard Shelton (Dick); her parents, Rufus Bowens and Vergie Bowens; and her siblings, Frankie Bowens, Hugh Bowens, Don Bowens, Cecil Lynn Bowens, Ray and Iva Kate Hensley.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara; her son-in-law Elmer Barnes; her son Wayne; her daughter-in-law Jessica Shelton; her grandchildren, Ashley Barnes, Cassie McCurry, ShaeLynn Jones, Josh Shelton and Chase Shelton; her sister Mary Metcalf; and her pet Max. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, & nephews.
