He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Smith and Elnora Smith; and his parents-in-law, Bruce and Rena Tipton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Smith; his daughters, Tammy (John Petty) and Lisa Vanover of Greeneville; his grandchildren, Robyn (Martin Majors) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Courtney Mathews of Mt. Juliet, TN, Taylor (Cameron Petty) and Hailee (Jeff Campbell); his great grandchildren, Braxton, Brooklyn, Braiden, Brennon Majors, Kayden, Kamryn Mathews, Addilyn and Kennedi Campbell; his brother Gary; his sister-in-law Linda Smith of Olive Branch, MS; and his nieces, Heather Shelton and Michelle Cutshaw.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or to First Baptist Church.
