He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lloyd and Mary Ellen Rader Smelcer; his former wife Chris Smelcer; and his parents-in-law, Gordon Sentelle and Louise Sentelle Pellett.

He is survived by: his daughter Ellen Partin; his grandson Erik Partin; his fiancée Chelsea Collins; his sisters, Kathryn Snowden (Eddie) and Patricia LeGrain (Jean Michel); his nephews, Eddie Snowden Jr. (Kim) of Russellville, John Snowden (Debbie) of Russellville and Michael LeGrain of Lyon, France; his great-nephew John Calvin Snowden; his great-niece Jessie Frasier; his siblings-in-law, Darlene Sentelle and Rusty Sentelle of Morristown; his close friends, Ben Dyer and Rodney Davis; and also Deborah Allison.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
