He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert Melton and Minnie Melton; his wife Virginia Melton (Franklin); his children, Deborah (Chris Young) and Keith (Lynn Norton); his grandchildren, Lea Anna Simms (James Simms), Mikala Railene Gifford (Nathan Gifford) and Ryan Marlow; his great grandchildren, Jazmine, Julieah and Jacksen Gifford; his cousin Ronnie Campbell; his sisters, Brenda "Babe" Inscore (Eugene Inscore), Judy (Jerry Charlton), Peggy (Bill Southerland) and Sandra Melton; his friends, Pat and Ray Morrison; his grandparents, Herman, Florence Melton, Shird and Anna Jennings; and his siblings, Norman Melton and Treva Sauceman. He was also cherished by uncles, aunts, and cousins.
