He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Metcalf and Muncie Metcalf; his siblings, Mary Hensley, Betty Smith, Gene Metcalf and Lyle Metcalf; his parents-in-law, Claude and Pauline Sams; and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Metcalf, Karen Metcalf, Grant Sams, Roger Sams and Ralph Hinkle Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Mattie "Jackie" Metcalf; his children, Vickie Collins, Crystal Wilhoit and Douglas (Kristal Metcalf); his grandchildren, Courtney Metcalf, Cobran Wilhoit (Kendra), Caden Wilhoit (Rachel), Brent Metcalf (Katie), Brandon Metcalf (Chelsi), Joshua Collins, Bryant Metcalf, Malorie Metcalf, Nevaeha Metcalf, Jerricho Metcalf and Willia Breeding; his great grandchildren, Huck Metcalf and Caroline Metcalf; his siblings, Alvin Metcalf, Hubert (Doris Metcalf), Carl Metcalf and Lavada (Danny Knight); his siblings-in-law, Jimmi Metcalf, Betty Beach, Susie Hinkle and Amos Hensley; and his nephew Claude William Hinkle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
