He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman David Jarrett and Lucy Belle Bowman Jarrett; his parents-in-law, Haskell and Katie Neas; his siblings, Johnny of Washington County, Lawrence of Washington County, Bobby of Washington County, Leon of Washington County, Evert Jarrett (Alma Ruth) of Washington County, Leona Farmer (Emory), Janice Shipley (Ralph) of Washington County and Vera Lee Rupert Graybeal (Charlie Rupert) of Carter County; and his siblings-in-law, Jay Barnett of Washington County and Joan Neas Luttrell (Charles) of Greene County.

He is survived by: his wife Edna Ruth Neas Jarrett; his daughter Scarlett Jarrett Coapstick; his son-in-law Randy S. Coapstick; his sister Barbara Barnett Thompson (Ted); his sisters-in-law, Betty and Louise Jarrett of Washington County; and his nephews, Wayne Rupert, David Shipley, Mike, Randy, Allen and Johnny Jarrett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to St. James Lutheran Church or St. James Community Cemetery, 3205 St. James Road, or to the St. James VFD, 3035 St. James Rd., Greeneville, TN, 37743.
