With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Montie Dye (Greeneville, Tennessee), who passed away on May 31, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Amelia Blakeney and Boyd Blakeney. She is survived by: her husband James Dye; her children, Julia Hensley (Steven), Pamela Doty (Michael), Linda Smith (Johnny), Celia Smith (Andy) and James Dye, Jr.; her grandchildren, Atticus Hensley (Caroline), Benjamin Hensley (Amanda), Erin Schultz (Steve), Isaac Doty (Christy), Leila Jackson (David), John Smith, Geoffrey Pratt (Liv), Ira Pratt, Sarah Lister (William Martin) and Rachel Lister (Devon Morrissey); and her great grandchildren, Stephanie Hensley, Samuel Schultz, Zetta Schultz, Andrew Doty, Patrick Doty, Maren Jackson, Louisa Jackson, Keziah Smith and Evelyn Fox.
In keeping with her concern for the health of unvaccinated children, the family requests that all attendees wear masks.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Covenant House.
