She was predeceased by: her husband Frank "Doyle" Melton; her son Carroll Melton; her parents, Shird Jennings and Nannie Belle Jennings; and her close friend Marcella Parham.
She is survived by: her son Neal; her daughters-in-law, Rhonda Melton of Knoxville and Christine Melton of Midway; her brother J. C. Jennings; and her close friends, Aline Feezell and Linda Seay. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; her church family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home (1125 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN 37745). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home (1125 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN 37745). A procession was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home (1125 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN 37745). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hartman's Chapel Cemetery (3497 Old Kentucky Rd W, Mosheim, TN 37818).
