He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Dabbs and Helen Dabbs (Barner); and his brothers, J. D. Dabbs and Henry Louis Dabbs. He is survived by: his wife Sadie Dabbs; his children, Mark Dabbs Jr. of Greeneville and Katie Dabbs of Greeneville; his grandchildren, Davon (Danni) of Greeneville, Ethan Dabbs of Greeneville, Addison of Greeneville, Amara Livingston of Greeneville, Kiara Blankenship of Greeneville and Paul Linebarger of Greeneville; and his siblings, Teddy Dabbs, David Dabbs, Ricky Dabbs, Charles Dabbs, Linda Dabbs and Lucille Bowers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
