She was predeceased by: her parents, Carter Harrison Hamilton and Mary Alice Anderson-Hamilton; and her siblings, Naomi Story-Lyons, Barbara Mae Hamilton and George "G. W.".

She is survived by: her daughter Cassandra Smith-Cole; her granddaughter Ericka Inzar; her siblings, Donald "Don" Hamilton and Joyce Hamilton; and her stepmother Natalie Burkes Hamilton. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, cousins, and very dear friends.
